- Equities.
Comprehensive list of Asian stocks listed in the NYSE, AMEX, or NASDAQ. The list is organized
by investment sectors. Stocks listed in the thinly
traded over-the-counter (OTC) or "pink sheets" markets are generally excluded because they have low liquidity and have large
bid/ask spreads. However, a few exceptions have been made for large, well-known companies
such as Samsung, Toshiba, and others. These have been marked with the OTC superscript after their stock symbol.
- Exchange Traded Funds and Closed-End Funds. ETFs are passively managed funds that
seek to emulate the performance of some well-known index and trade like stocks. Closed-end
funds also trade like stocks but are usually actively managed.
